Exclamation warcraft hosting help THIS TIME NOT PORT FORWARDING

hi. when i try to host games on the pc, which has a direct conection via cable, it works. there is a laptop which accesses the internet via the pc. they are connected with a network cable.when i try to hosst on the laptop, it doesn't work. There is no router, whatsoever!how can i get the laptop to be able to host? The cable modem is not a router and does NOT have its own settings which you can edit like a router. it is a motorola surfboard sb51000. PLEASE HELP! A SOLUTION IS URGENTLY REQUIRED!!!!!!!!!!
