Any Games like RUNESCAPE?

I want to know if there are any online games like runescape out that are

-FREE

-DOWNLOADABLE IS OK

DO NOT say any games unless its like runescape where you can mine, and smith, and do quests, and fish and stuff like that

I DO NOT want to know about games that all you do is kill, kill, kill, quest, quest, quest

There are hundreds of flash/java games out there that are free and reliable, but Runescape will probably always be the best.

Rated #1 internet based video game in the world with an estimated profit of $45 million dollars. Can't beat that =)

It's disgusting how many people put rs on a pedastole. =\ The game's graphics are way out of date and the play isn't that fun. What you're not noticing is that it's the community itself that's feeding the fire that pulls you into rs. Just go to a diff mmo and get a list of friends and get to know them. You'll find yourself doing alright, especially if you can get a partner to start the game with you.

Here are some free games that I'll mention even though they're more hack and slash, they're still a lot of fun when you get into the community and the drama

Other great gaming experiences I've had are with games such as
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Guild Wars
GW: Factions
Starcraft
Counter Strike

The best and most addicting game I've ever played has and will probably always be Diablo II.. It's cheap, it's free to play online, and it's still got a kickin' community with 50k+ active members Lol

Try Flyff you register and dload it takes awhile to dload but it is SWEET you can fly at lvl 20 hence the name Flyff Fly=Fly, F=For, F=Fun.
