Help needed from C&C Generals Guru

Hi Everyone! I need help with C&C Generals.
I am trying to play a game versus a friend online but even though I have registered and have opened ports and downloaded the new patch I cannot create a game and invite guests. After creating a game it automatically goes into the game and does not wait for someone to join.

HELP!!!
