need to figure out why im lagging when i play a game called America's Army

hi, ive been playing America's Army for about 2 years now...and I just started to get this really bad lag that I havent really had ever. I've had this problem for about a 2 weeks now and i really want to get rid of it.

Any ideas??

Does this lag only come when playing this 1 game? Does it happen whilst doing anything else? listening to music for example?

usually only when i play the game and right after i close out
