Problem with Age Of Mythology for PC

My problem is that I had installed Age of Mythology onto my computer. I have been playing it regularly and today i put in the CD to play and got a message saying to insert CD 1 to play. It was already in the drive. What is happening?????/

Make sure the Cd isnt scratched up, check the drive with a different, for example, music CD and listen to a song. If the drive works with other disk then we can assume the game CD or the game is the issue. Could be a random problem with the game, just reinstall the game as long as you dont uninstall the orriginal copy you wont lose saves or settings it should just repair.
If the CD drive does not work with other disk, check your device manager, if there are no warnings next to the cd device and it is listed as installed and working properly you probably just need a new cd drive.
