Any ideas why this game keeps crashing? this is the error message that i get in the report file in the game directory...

Set the memory timings to "SPD". Crucial Memory is generally not very high end overclockable memory and setting it to aggressive or optimal timings is almost certainly beyond it's spec

I was told that you would need to play with the Memory Frequencies within the BIOS, and also try to set the Memory to "Aggressive" and not "Optimal" to see if this would resolve the problem.

Check the power supply ... might not be adequate. Heat problem.

my friend has that problem also.. but it doesn't have to do with his memory...... it was his OGL setting..

Is ur version a hacked version; if so reinsall the hack coz sometimes if copys wrong. try reinsalling the game i got the same error it worked for me. if not change a setting

The problem is no with your computer, the problem is that there is a new hack that has been released. More information can be found at the battle.net website, where people are currently working on the problem.

I had the same problem as you, then I did this:

Download war3.reg and save it to your Windows Desktop. Once the file has been downloaded, double-click on it to import the registry info. This file will set Warcraft III to mute sound, run with the basic settings for video and set the refresh rate for the monitor to 60Hz. Once the game has started, you may select the options menu and adjust the video and sound settings as desired.

Now it works like a charm
