Smile Yea i had the same problem

When i first bought C&C Generals it worked fine but when we defragged it kinda screwed up and wouldn't work so we took it down to our local computer guys and they like completely renewed our computer we got a new motherboard new graphics card new sound card and even a new Hard drive now we have 250 GB of free space before we only had 14GB so yea.

My Gaming Comps Specs:

Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 440 AGP 8x Directx 9.1(Not too good for newer games it is still hardy tho)
Sound Card:MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
MotherBoard:Intel Celeron CPU 1.70GHz, 1.72GHz 512MB RAM
HDD:4 Partions, But all up 250GB
CD/DVD Drive:LG DVD/CD RW, Also Plays CD's DVD's
Floppy Disk Drive:sum old pissy thing
OS:Microsoft Windows XP Proffessional SP2 Version 2002
Monitor:Diamond View Plug n' Play Monitor

Just off the top of my head.
The game works now so thats good becoz i play it quite alot even tho it is an old game so i hope i helped ya out a bit.

C&C Generals

Hi,

download and unzip desktop.rar (link at the bottom), there will be two registry files, edit file no (2) using any text editor and change InstallPath to your generals path to read something like this "E:\\generals\\" if your game is installed in drive (e.

once done, run registry files 1 & 2

have fun ... thx

solution

if you have dual processor(i dont know if its work with other processors) i probably have solution

1.install c&c generals / c&c g zero hours
2.delete all files in "C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data" same with zero hours
3.create file "options.ini"
4.add in file

AntiAliasing =
DrawScrollAnchor =
GameSpyIPAddress = 0.0.0.0
Gamma = 50
IPAddress = 0.0.0.0
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
LanguageFilter = false
MoveScrollAnchor =
MusicVolume = 55
Resolution = 800 600
Retaliation = yes
SFX3DVolume = 79
SFXVolume = 71
ScrollFactor = 50
SendDelay = no
StaticGameLOD = Low
UseAlternateMouse = no
UseDoubleClickAttackMove = no
VoiceVolume = 70
5. save changes
6. play a game ;]- its work in my computer intelcore2 duo 1,86/2x1gb 800mhz/geforce 7900gt/gto 256/256
sorry for my not very well english ;]
