Sims deluxe won't work

Hi my friend went out and bought the sims deluxe and installed it, but when she runs deluxe it loads and gets to the start screen then just exits the game, doesn't give you any errors or anything just exits. The original sims works fine.

Here are her specs:
Ecs P4vmm2 mobo
224 pc133 sdram
onboard S3 savage
Intel Pentium 4 1.5ghz

Any help is greatly appreciated.
