how to serve on Counter-Strike w/ a router

hi
i'm running cable.. through a router
and.. i create a game, but my friends can't seem to find my server.
a friend told me to open the port but.. i don't kno how

anyways.. if anyone knows why, can some one teach me how to fix it? thanks

What type of router do u have? Linksys or D-link etc. and what verison on windows do u have?

I ended up calling Lynksys with my server problem. They were more than happy to help me thru it.

if you have Linksys its Forwarding Port

Counter-Strike
Start Port: 27005
End Port: 27025

btw speaking of ports

i have router also... netgear mr814..

i was wonder what is the correct port for AIM (Aol instant Messenger)

i try to IM Connect, Send File, Recieve file from other people but i can't connect... you guys know what is the correct port?
