C&C Generals zero hour graphics

On my computer when i played on a network the speed was really low. When i turned down the graphics down it worked. It might be my pc but did this happen to anyone else.

p4 2.4 ghz
512 ram

what video card do you have?? DUHR

if its onboard video memory, then that could slow it down.

if its just a crappy graphics card then thats your problem.

maybe try changing the sound settings for your computer, those make a difference.

end some services that dont need to be run, that could be a difference too.

Perhaps his motherboard just sucks and routes networking and graphics thru the same circuts? I mean, who would even <i>think</i> of using intensive graphics WHILE trying to interface TCP/IP? Heresy...
