lock ups

any help out there for some one thats not the best with computers? im ok just more along the lines of a layman.
im having difficulty with lockups all the time in windows and even in bios. i have a p4 2.6 overclocked to 3.18 ,512 ram pc2700 heat sinked and running at peek, sb live pro, nvida gforce 4 ti440 128m. panasonic dvd ram/r drive, cdrw out of my dell, and a hitachi 123.5gb hard drive. most if not all the time i cant even get past the bios to do anything anymore it locks up so i cant change my settings what should i do? anyone please

me not be all to smart forgot that i can reset the bios. so i did and all seems well now. time to start over with my overcloking methods.

i'm lead to belive that you power supply is not strong nuff for your oced processer try unplugging anything you don't need and try booting to get into bios and if this doesn't work hopefully u ahve a second computer that u can burrow the psu from and unplug everything but the mobo and use the second one for everything else if taht doesn't work then u messed ur processer up i hope this helps some
