Xeon or not?

Hi Im considering building the following PC.

Motherboard Supermicro X6DH8-XG2
CPU 2 x Xeon 3.6Ghz 800fsb
Ram 4 x 512mb Crucial DDR2 PC3200
Hardrive 2 x Hitachi Ultrastar 15K73 73GB Ultra 320
2 x 74GB WD Raptor
Graphics Card PCI EXPRESS Radeon X800 XT 256MB DDR3 (undecided on brand)

Other parts yet to be decided but probably including a whole lot of zalman kit.

However I have no experience of Xeon's. I was wondering whether anyone else could share there experience of Xeon's in a non server environment. I remember hearing a
lot of gamers complaining about dual AMD's a couple of years back and was wondering whether there are similar problems with Xeon's. I intend to run a dual boot XP Pro/Fedora Core 2 system. Any other comments on this setup are welcome.

Cheers,
Elessar
