Question Maxtor HD for external use

I just bought a new Maxtor MaxLine Plus II 250GB hard drive and would like to use it to replace my existing Maxtor external drive. How do I do it?

What do you mean? The new drive is internal. Did you mean replacing the "internal" Maxtor you have now? Assuming that is not a typo, we would need to know if your existing internal drive is ide or sata. Or we would need to know if your motherboard is sata ready?
