im not sure if this is only works for a specific 2500+. but there is a way the XP2500+ can be turned into a XP3200. because basically it is a striped down version of a XP3200. its done by changing the FSB form 333MHz to 400MHz. you will have to buy some PC3200 RAM to match the new FSB before you try it though. also make sure your mobo has an adjustable Vcore because if the machine is unstable after changing the FSB to 400MHz you will have to raise the CPU voltage which should only ever be done in the smallest increments possible.
im not telling you exactly how to do it, just that you can. or at least you can with some XP2500+ processors. if you do try it make sure you read up and know EXACTLY what you are doing before you go anywhere near the BOIS to make these kind of changes.
although if you do pull it off id be interested to hear about it. i wish id got a 2500+ and done this myself, instead of buying my sempron. as far as overclocking go's this is about as simple as it gets but like i sead you should do a lot of research before you start because you dont want to end up with a fried processor.
