My second question: researching the topic of replacing a graphics card I have seen several recommendations to uninstall the old graphics driver before installing the new card. My HP has a built in graphics chipset (I think). Sorry if this is a dumb question but... if I uninstall my graphics driver, will the monitor still work or will I be looking at a black screen?
Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

A1- Small Power supply with low Wattage could result in having one of the other hardware faliur... (It would just stop working, hardware such as, CD ROM, Hard Drive )
A2- If you just add the a new video can and disable the old Video Card from the BIOS (If it is on board) then when you boot your computer it would not matter if you have the driver installed for the old Graphic card....because hardware is disable therefore operating system will not load the driver.... If the Video card is not on-board then same scenario applies.
