Want to upgrade Graphics Card

Currently using the on-board graphics processor on the motherboard.
I am running AMD Athlon 64bit 3500+ Processor
Windows XP Proffessional Service Pack2

Current graphics processor:
PCI ATI RADEON XPRESS 200

I have one slot available for a PCI Xpress Graphics Card.

I will be going with an ATI card, but what will be a good upgrade from what I am using now? thanks for your help...

ATI X800 XL is the best price/performance card available.

Unless of course money is no issue for you in which case go as high as you can.

Bigger is as they say better, but the XL IS the best value for a card from ATI.

I will prolly go with: ATI Radeon X800 XL DVD Edition Video Card
256MB, PCI-Express x16, DVI, 2D/3D w/TV-Out

Its cost is around $275.00.

Thumbs up Excellent

Seems the best deal to me. never any real point in going for the absolute fastest card, because when it gets down to it, it costs you an extra hundred or so, and they both get supersceded on the exact same day anyway. Plus with some intelligent overclocking, the hardcore minded could probably get XT PE performance out of an XL anyway. Not that its really worth it considering the 3 frames per second extra that would mean...

Good choice on that card. Wish i could afford one!
