Question about RAM Model/manufacturer

My computer has 512mb of ram and I want to upgrade to a gig. I have two pc2100 256mb sticks, the question I have is does it matter what company I buy another two sticks from aslong as its pc2100? Does it matter if its from a different manufacturer than my current ram?

Thanks for any help :-)

It helps to buy matched pairs of the same RAM, which is what you've done here. If you can, try and get a stick of RAM from the same manufacturer as the RAM you've got, as the timings of the RAM may differ, even though the RAM is meant to be PC2100.
