best PCI Graphics card?

I've recently bought a new computer that was fast and came a great value, except for the fact that it has no real graphics card (it's built in and it's absolutely terrible. It can't even run AOE 2 ). I was planning to upgrade, but now I've realised that it has only PCI slots.

I don't really mind, I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything, but I would like a decent card i.e. one that'll run AOE 3 with ok graphics. So if anyone knows what type of PCI card is the best out there, I'd love to know!

Hi there,
I would suggest that you go for the GF FX 5200 256MB DDR PCI if you want to stick with PCI.
PCI is getting a bit old now though and you'd be wise to upgrade to PCI-express but obviously you'd need a new motherboard for that.

Yeah, I'd love to get a new motherboard but unfortunately I don't have the technical skills needed to install one or the money to pay for someone to do it.

Thanks for the advice though.

And just in case I do get a new motherboard at some point, would you suggest AGP or PCI-express?

PCI- express, AGP are being phased out.
