I need a quick answer here...
Is the motherboard "ASUS P5GD1 Pro" compatible with the CPU "Intel Pentium 4-820 2.8-800-2*1Mb-S775" ??? The motherboard has a socket 775 so I suppose everything will work fine...
Or No???

motherboard link: http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=...0PRO&langs=01#

cpu link:

After a quick search in the net , I 'm starting to believe that there is NO compatibility...
My other cpu choice is the "Pentium 4 640 64bit (2MB L2, 3.2 GHz, 800MHz FSB)" .I think that with this product there is no problem...
Anyway I'm stiil waiting ur answers for both questions(/CPUs)

thanx again

PS: thanx barbara for ur help , but I believe that forum is just like the one we are talking now , so whats the point?

The point is that I decided on a major upgrade of my system a few monthe ago, motherboard, processor and graphics card, these guys really pointed out the way to go and the pitfalls.
