I'm currently putting a new pc together with a board that has an AGP slot clearly marked that only AGP 1.5v are supported. Just curious, is it rare for a board to only support one voltage type? I know agp run on 3.3v and 0.8v too, I'm assuming if i tried to use one of those, that it would do something really nasty to my board.
Also, does anybody know what type of agp card is generally run at 1.5 volt? I'm thinking the AGP 8x probably don't, and although that's what I'd prefer to buy, I don't wanna put in my new comp and have it fry my machine or something like that. Would it be a safer bet to go with a 4x card?
