External Hard Drive Advice

I'm running Parallels Desktop and my VMs take up a ton of space on my hard drive. I think I want to keep them on e 60 or 80 GB? Thanks.an external hard drive, but need a recommendation as to a relatively inexpensive one that is also reliable. Probably like 60 or 80 GB? Thanks.

I'm in the UK and my techi got me a caddy, put in a 60GB HD, and I use that as my backup. not the portable you can stick in your pocket but if storage is what you want they are inexspensive go here to see what I mean
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/search/ just type HD Caddy in Search/Quickfind.

Hope this helps

Price really, the caddy comes without a hd so you choose which hd and what size you want, externals have the hd drive already installed, and they are more compact. What I did was have a new HD installed in the computer and use the old HD as my backup.Hope this makes it clearer.

Cheers

My caddy is always connected to the comp, but not switched on, when I need it I turn it on, the comp gives the hardware ping and I just copy and paste anything I need to move onto it. I us as a backup, but anything on the external can be accessed and used when I need it.

Cheers
