New Laptop what brand??

MIght not be the right Forum, for that I appologize. I am looking at buying an Acer Aspire AS3102WLMi NoteBook AMD Mobile Sempron 3200+ 15.4" Wide XGA 512MB DDR2 533 60GB 5400rpm DVD±R/RW ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 Integrated at NewEgg.com for $595.
The only Con is in the video, which is an easy fix. I have looked at DEll and HP notebooks, but can't match the same unit for the same price.

My question is is this a good deal, does anyone have an Acer notebook or any advice?

Acer tech support is appalling but their machines are usually quite good. So just hope it never goes wrong!
