Can I convert WMA to Mp3 and loose the DRM? Any web site that can answer these questions?

Marmaduke,
It seem like you came to this forum with lots of questions and now you have more question after reading few replies from our fellow Canadian.
I'll try to explain it as best as I can (simple format).
You don't need Winamp to play the MP3 files...MP3 can be played with almost any kind of software media player but WMA format of music can't be played with as many variety of the players as MP3......this is only if you have the music on the computer and you want to listen to it.
With your MP3 player....you don't have to worry about any of the software media player....there is a built-in player in your Sandisk and that player allow you to play two type of media (MP3 and WMA).
Let say you have a music CD and you want to put your music on to the MP3 Player.....First you need a software to allow you to copy the music from CD format (often in WAV format) to MP3 format and then you can transfer the MP3 file to your player.....here is the big question, what software should you use and how (if you don't have any experience with it). I will not answer that right now, let me know this has been helpful so far or not ! or maybe you have solved you issue already, let us know.
Cheers
