VGA Y Splitter Cable

I have a customer who has a single vga port on her motherboard but has 2 15" monitors. She doesn't want to buy any new hardware to upgrade to a dual apg graphics card. but... she wants to use both monitors with an extended desktop.

Can she use a VGA Y Splitter Cable?

I'm not totally sure but i don't think that would work as its still only sending one signal down the line. I think the best she can hope for is clone of her orginal desktop....

Does anyone have any thoughts ?!?!?

your customer may have to fork out just a bit more money for "DualHead2Go"...it's a really neat piece of hardware and easy to use.

A Pretty nice bit of kit. Retail its in the £100 zone but on ebay its half that.

have you had any experence with this piece of kit? Is there any draw backs to it?

No I don't have it myself but I bought one for a friend who is in music record business and needed to plug in two 21" monitor to one PC and I got him that.
