PC Hardware Advise

Hi, I'm intending to get a new PC but wasn't sure of which hardware to go for. Need advise out there. The PC is mainly for gaming purpose though...

1) Should I go for AMD Athlon 2Ghz/2.4Ghz OR Intel Core Duo Processor 1.86Ghz?

2) Which Graphic Card is better? (ATI Radeon 512Mb PCI Xpress OR Nvidia Geforce 256Mb)

Hope to hear some advise out there soon...

go for amd,,, there better designed for gaming,, the newer am2 cpu,s are better am2 athlon x2 5200 or 6000 cpu,s are cheap..for graphics i think nvidia are better,, the drivers are more stable. go for the best within your budget..min of 256 dedicated memory and min of 500 to 600 clock speed the faster the better. if your going to play powerful games get the best you can afford..and min of 2 gig ram. myself..i bought a ps3 and play games online through that on my 26in lcd tv in the bedroom . working out the price,, its cheaper than buying a high spec pc for gaming.
