Akasa Fan Controller

Hi, yeah, I bought one of these: http://www.akasa.co.uk/akasa_english...c_ak_fc_03.htm and I don't know what to do with the thermal sensors! Anyone used this before and can tell me what to do? Cheers

the thermal sensors are used on the hard drives,,and inside the case also there ultra flat so you can put one of the thermal sensors (slide it between) the heatsink and the cpu die,, they supply with 4 thermal sensors ,,,,but you dont have to use all,, only what you want to use..ie hard drive or 2 hard drives inside the case or onthe chipset and between the cpu heatsink and cpu die. it runs up to 4 fans installed in your system that you can control via the knobs. with digital readout of temps, via the probes. i hope this helps.

Cool, do I want to remove the bit of plastic of the back of the actual sensor bit though? Where can I put the CPU one as I don't think it'll get close to my CPU as I'm using the scythe infinity cooler.

Thanks for your help with the desperately noobish qiuestion!

the thermal sensors usally have plastic you remove so they stick,,if not your supplied with some sort of tape to stick the sensor down,,if you cant slide one of the sensors between the cpu heatsink and cpu die..mount it on the heatsink as low as you can ,,or on the side of the heatsink baseplate to get a good reading. or on one of the fins..as low as you can get.

Cheers. The stuff I got was sticky ish, but I used some other tape to hold it down now. I've mounted the CPU one as close as I could to the CPU itself so it's not too bad. It reads 2'c above the actual temp but it's easy to change the thresholds so I know what's going on. Thanks for your help!
