MAC purchase advice please MAC recommendations?

I am required to purchase a MAC system for video capture, editing, copying etc but have no idea where to begin.

I also know that I should get a big external hard drive but what kind is the best deal?

Any thoughts or reccomendations will be appreciated.

You should be able to get a I-mac with 400Gig HD. Do you have the software or not? If not then try Adobe Premier Pro or Ulead.
