Do I Have A 32bit Or 64bit Computer?

I am quite confused (which is fairly normal for me). I have an HP Pavillion running Win XP Pro and I have always thought it was a 32bit machine.
I have just downloaded CPUZ and it says my processor is a 64bit AMD Athlon 3200+. There is a small sticker on the front of the case which says AMD Athlon 64.

Does this mean I can run 64bit progarmmes? I'm not even sure I would want to as I don't really know the difference. Can anyone give me a fairly simple explanation please?

Hey "TheFrog"

Your system is 64 bit capable but I don't think it is....you could check it out to see if it is for yourself:

right click on My computer and go to property
Here is a sample screen shot of 64 bit system (read the text on the screen shot)
