Upgrading PSU

Ma rig is as follows:

Intel Quad Core Q6600
Asus P5N MoBo
4GB RAM (2x Adata 800MHz, 2x Samsung 667MHz)
2x BFG 7900GTX OC 512MB
4x 500GB SATA HDD
2x DVD-RW Drives
1x Floppy Disk Drive
4x Case Fan's
Antec 460watt PSU

I'm looking to upgrade most components but first I need to sort out the power issue with the 2x SLI cards. If I play any game wit intense graphics the PC just shuts down. Very Annoying! Can anyone recommend a decent PSU?

I'm thinking of getting a Thermaltake, BFG or Corsair PSU but I'm unsure of the wattage needed. Checked out http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and apparently I need over a 700watt PSU?! Need to top up my electric bill!

Yeah the 460watt is to small, what you have picked is perfect.

Might sound stupid, but have you checked it's not your graphics card over heating? Again as you've posted, it could be your PSU. But double check it's not a card issue so you're not wasting money buying a PSU for nothing.

I have a similar setup minus 2 of the hard drives and with an amd phenom II quad core and an ati 4850 instead of an intel cpu and an nvidia gpu. I use a thermaltake 850 watt toughpower and I have no complaints what-so-ever. I picked mine up from Best Buy because I was in a pinch and needed a psu right then. But you can get it at newegg for a better price.
