Need help with new fans

My computer as of late has been making this low pitched humming noise (especially when under load, or alt tabbing out of games, ect) so I want to get new fans for it, ive read in places that I need new fans, and the old ones are going bad/failing if they are making that noise.

I have no idea what kind of fans to get, or which ones would fit or whatever. My computer is one of those dell xps gen 4's, the fans that are making the noise are the ones thats over the heatsink in this big green thing you can snap in and out, there are two of them. I am totally clueless about this subject, will try to provide more info if asked about it.

Hi, if the fan on your CPU is starting to fail and you have never really played "under the hood" I would recommend taking you PC to a repair shop because not only does the fan need replacing but the correct amount of thermo paste needs to be used on the heat sink. If you have never done this and you get it wrong you can kiss goodbye your CPU.

Monty's right, sounds like your CPU fans. Should be a quick and easy repair, not too expensive.

I had the exact same problem on my Graphic Card fan, left it a couple of days and burned the card out.

Best not to wait.
