Building new system

I’m building a new desktop computer, listed below are the pieces I wish to use. I play 2 games the most, World of Warcraft and MS flight Sim. Looking to put together a system that should be good for the next 3 years.

Second questions is the OS whether to use XP or VISTA? I’m still using XP on my desktop and laptop system. With the next new Microsoft OS on the horizon is VISTA worth the upgrade? I will have my copy of XP Pro to use from the old desktop.

CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz
CPU Cooler ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Socket 775 CPU Cooler
Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L (Intel P43,SATAII,DDR2,1600FSB)
Video Card 1 NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0
Power Supply MIOS 500W Deluxe Switching Dual Fan Power Supply
Memory Kingston HyperX PC2-8500 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL7-7-7-20

Thanks,
Mark

If you have XP pro I would not buy Vista, it is a resource hog and packed with problems. Since you plan to game with your PC, XP is the OS to use. Biggest advantage with gaming on XP, any issue you have or drivers you need usually have tons of support.

I personally recommend you this system:
CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz
Mobo Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R
WD 750GB 7200RPM S-ATAII
Asus Geforce 9800GT
Ram 2x2GB Kingston DDR2-800
Case: ThermalTake VI6000BNS Strike MX/Black (powersupply is a bit low on wattage) i would recomment the Thermaltake Thoughpower 600Watts.
