Hi Dave, I found the drivers but need to know which hardware your lappy has as there is a few different hardware setups. In device manager go to the ethernet controller right click>details and you should be able to find the hardware manufacture, do the same for the wireless.

Sorry for the delay Dave, Ive been pulling 12 hour shifts. First with the ethernet did you installl the chip set driver? Also in Device manager what is marked as yellow. To find the wireless driver you need to know what hardware is installed but berlac doesn't say. I will get back to you on that.

yo monty, ive managed to get all drivers from dell except network controller but im sure the wifi card is faulty which isnt a bother, works fine with usb wifi dongle, the thing with this dell is that after a format you have to load drivers in the correct order otherwise some might not work correctly, didnt know that. to say its been a pain, errr (dell eh) take care mate.

Any time you do an OS reinstall on a Dell Notebook you need to install the "Dell Notebook Software" first , followed by the Intel chipset driver -after that the order of driver installation doesn't matter but if you don't do it that way then you may well get spurious and unexplained errors (not to mention infuriating!). Notebook Software appears on the driver and Downloads page under "system utilities" if my memory serves me well.
