Help! Graphics card help Ati

Hi,

I was just wondering whether my computer is powerful enough to power this graphics card. Ati X1650 Pro 512mb PCI-E.

My system specs:
Amd 64 Processor 3200+ ~2000Mhz
1 GB of Ram
160 GB Hard Drive
500 Watt 12V 18A

Please help a.s.a.p.
Also if my system is not up to standard could you advise me on a graphics cards that would be better.
By the way does this specific card require a power connector cable.
Thanks in advance

Hi, If I was getting a new card I would choose the ATI HD4850 PCI-E 2.0 512MB 256-bit GDDR3.

Your system specs should run it fine as per this link http://ati.amd.com/products/Radeonhd...uirements.html

Yes you will need a power connector but you can buy one cheap.

Thanks for the response monty007,

I was considering that ATI HD4850 PCI-E 2.0 512MB 256-bit GDDR3, could you please tell me whether my computer is capable of handling the x1650 pro, just to be on the safe side.

Also the x1650 pro does require a power connector..?
Also I am talking about the PCI-E version.

Many Thanks,

The short answer is yes it will run and yes I think it does need a connector which you can buy an adapter.
