Need advice: HDD and RAM upgrade of intel D865GBF motherboard

Hi
I need some advice to upgrade my quite outdated desktop PC.
I have an Intel P4 D865GBF_ board with 80GB HDD and 512 MB ddr ram.

I want to upgrade to 160gb and 2gb ram. Will the following be sufficinet for my requirement.
Samsung HD161HJ hard drive prices, Shopping comparison for Samsung HD 161HJ, Buy online in India

Kingston 2GB Ddr2 Desktop Memory / RAM With 5 Year Manufacturer Warranty gifts in india at rediff shopping.

2 GB Transcend Ddr2 800mhz Desktop RAM ... 2GB . 800 Mhz . DDR 2 . RAM For Desktops ... 3 Years Warranty gifts in india at rediff shopping.

I have a very tight budget and would as of now prefer the cheapest option out there.
Also, do i need to give any other specification about my computer to understand what would be best to upgrade?

Thanks in advance

Hi, sorry to tell you but the ram and hard drive are not compatible with your old PC.
You can not buy memory for that model and the only hard drive that works is an ide not Sata.

Hi mate,

It does say at the bottom of that page where HDD is

"HDD Two (Master & Slave) ATA 66/100 connectors
Two Serial ATA connectors"

So SATA will work on that board if I'm not mistaken?

Also, if he wants a bigger HDD, it might be best to get an external drive. This will save the hastle, incase Monty is right and the drive you're choosing won't be compatible and I've mis-read it.
