ok, im going to buy a DVD-burner, Pioneer, but dunno which DVD-burner i should get!!?Theres a cheaper Pioneer Burner that writes 4x blah blah blah the usual basic stuff i need. But this other one is a little more expensive and has +R/+RW I seriously have no clue what these two extra features do!! please tell me which one to get??
Cheaper - DVR-105
Expensive - DVR-106
AND plus, what should i get, OEM or Retail Version of these burners??

the only difference is that some DVD players are more compatible with one format or the other. If it won't kill you to spend the few extra dollars, get the ħR/RW. It does both formats, so there's less of a chance that if you burn a disk for granny, she won't be able to play it. But, I read that a dvr 107 is either coming out soon, or has just recently come out, and if you wait for this, you might be able to get either of these drives a little cheaper.

As far as oem or retail, it will depend on what you want. If you are wanting to have all the demo software and a pretty printed box, buy retail. If you already have DVD burning software that you like, and all the small things necessary to hook it up like IDE cable, screws and the like, buy OEM. But, beware of OEM warranties. You may want to read all you can, or ask when you buy, and if necessary, purchase an extended in-house warranty.
