Hey guys,

I'm thinking bout investing in water cooling pretty soon. Tis startin to get a tad warm in there.

What do you think is best to stick in with it ?

From the checking I have done this may be one of the best. I called them on the phone last month. They were more than happy to answer my questions.

Just bought a clear acrilic case. This thing has 5 fan holes. My temps droped 10 to 15 F. I thought my temp sencesor was going crazy. Checked it in bios & says the same. Processor is running 31C Or 88 F. after hard gaming. I do have a CoolerMaster HS with the pipes.

XP2700+
1 gig DDR Ram
Ti4200 VGA

& a cool new case. :-)

I WC. I've got an Asetek WaterChill kit. It's not too bad but its also not the greatest out there. Personally I'd try the DangerDen Maze3 kit. It's also about $50 less than the Waterchill CPU-only kit.

The thing that I found is that you only drop about 10C, but as you OC higher your temps don't rise as much (with my SK-7 heatsink on the processor I'd rise up a few C by bumping my chip up to 2250 from 2190, and at 2.3Ghz on the nose I'm nowhere near that point).

One thing I'd reccomend is that you have a full-tower case or something VERY roomy. I've got a Lian-Li PC82 and its extremely cramped in there with my long PSU cables, WCing tubes and equipment, and IDE cables.

You run your chip at 3Ghz you say? Yeesh, what kind cooler is that and what are your temps?

Sounds like a big expense for a 2800 @ 3 gigs.
depending on your board you have hardware that will probably OC higher and still be OK. I'd go with more fans.
At 11.00 or so bucks a pop it's the cheapest way out. And if budget allows you can spen a lil more for good quiet fans to make it worth your while.

Just my 2Cents,,, but water can get you spending big bucks...

Thanks for all your replys guys

I stuck a few more fans in it for now. Oh and id just like to say to all those people who are going to say "bloocks do you have it at that"... well yes i do.

I've had several comments that it isnt possible to be clocking this chip to that speed, well you can, and the book that came with the chip said i can even get a 3.2 outta it.
