ok this is my first dvd burner im about to purchase withen the next 2 days for sure! ok now i am having problems deciding between the SONY DRU510A Internal DVD±R/RW and the Plextor Internal DVD±R/RW

The Sony Has More Memory then the Plextor and better seek times on both dvds and cds. but the Plextor is alot fast but has only 2MB Memory vs. the Sony With the 8MB Memory so wich should i go for? speed or reliability? does anyone have complaints on either driver or praises towards. all are welcomed need help lol please!

I'm not a Sony fan at all. I've been burned(excuse the pun) a few times. Plextor has always been a top name in burners. Take a look at LG and Pioneer. I have heard the Pioneer is rated #1 in this field.

I bought a I/O Magic DVD R/W+- and am totally delighted with it. Copies 4.3 gigs in 13 minutes, copies a full DVD movie in 20, copies a regular cd in 2 minutes. 99.99 after rebate from tigerdirect.com
