I dont quite understand the Dual Channel Concept do you have to have the same manufacturer of ram? Can someone explain this...... THANKS

The motherboard is a Albatron PX865PE Pro

Whether it will work or not is hard to say until tried. I would be suprised if it did work, thats why many manufacturers sell dual channel kits so the two DIMMs are guaranteed to work (unless DOA!). I would be wary of buying a new stick by a different manufacturer unless your not really bothered that you might not have dual channel.

At the moment there doesn't seem to be much of a performance gain in using dual channel due to the technology being in it's relative infancy.

Dual Channel will almost always work if the memory is the same speed, i ran dual channel with a 256 and a 512 no problems
