Problem with SCSI ID and scanner
I have the Agfa Duoscan HiD scanner. It connects to the computer via SCSI cable. You can adjust the SCSI ID number on the scanner. I have tried every SCSI ID number on the scale, and no matter what I do i get this message:
Quote:
Make sure you installed the necessary drivers for your SCSI board.
Check all cables and connections and make sure the power switch is
turned on. Also verify that a unique SCSI ID is assigned to each device
and that the SCSI chain is terminated at the first and last device on the scsi cable.

Check in Control Panel for SCSI.

I haven't had a machine with SCSI for a while so that was just a possibility.
In Control Panel > Double Click System > In the System Properties window > Hardware > Device Manager > See if SCSI is mentioned there.

That means that your system is not recognising any SCSI cards that are fitted.
What make / model is your Motherboard?

I eventually found the Motherboard ...
http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/...ries=1&model=6
It doesn't have onboard SCSI so you need to remove the cover and find the SCSI Card to identify it.

Have a read of this ...
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/scsi.htm
You need to remove the cover from your PC to find and identify the SCSI Card.
