Angry Problem with LG 1710B TFT Monitor

Recently bought an LG 1710B TFT Monitor, and having problems using the latest ATI Catalyst Drivers with it. Monitor is connected thru the DVI connector, to my ATI 96OOXT Graphics Card. Monitor works fine when using any Catalyst drivers 3.7, up to 3.10, but as soon as I use any Catalyst drivers from version 4, up to the latest 4.4 drivers, the monitor flickers badly, and then goes into a black screen when I attempt to open a new web page, and then returns to normal. Even when pc is not in use, the monitor intermittently flickers into a black screen. I have tried connecting the monitor thru the standard Analogue connector, and using the latest Catalyst Drivers, and the monitor works perfectly then. Seems it`s a problem with any Catalyst drivers above version 4, when connecting thru DVDI connector. Card has been checked, and is definitely not faulty.
If any of u can advise me of a fix for this problem, I would be grateful. My system is, as below.

LG1710B TFT Monitor.
Soltek 75MRN-L MOBO.
Athlon 2800XP+ CPU.
1GB DDR 3200 400MHZ Crucial Ram.
120 GB Maxtor Hard Drive.
ATI Sapphire 9600XT Graphics Card.
Audigy 2 Soundcard.
