the card may not be fully seated in the motherboard slot, press to make sure it is all the way down. if you have on-board video you may want to disable it in the bios. and set the primary device to agp or pci(depends on the card you have). depending on the motherboard you have there maybe a bios update that fixes issues with radeon graphics cards or agp problems. chipset drivers may need to be updated and check the radeon site to make ssure you have the latest catalyst.

I have made sure that the grapics card is properlly inserted into the motherboard. When i go on bios i dont see no option that lets me disable onboard grapics. But i have unistalled all the onboard nVidia grapic drivers, that didnt seem to do anything. The other day i had to reset the bios setting and take by taking out the CMOS chip for 15 min, and setting the jumpers to default. By doing that the system reads my CPU as a "1800+" when it should b "2400+" could that have anything to do with the grapics card not working correct? if so any ideas?
Thanx
Liam

on the issue where the motherboard reads the cpu as a 1800+ when it should be a 2400+, setting jumper pins on the motherboard to default you probably set one to clock the system bus @100 instead of 133. you mentioned you removed the cmos chip? you should never do that, either use the jumper or remove the battery to clear the cmos. if there is no motherboard jumper for the fsb speed check the bios for the bus clock, it will show 100 and should be able to switch to 133. once you get the system clock right see how it runs, and if you still have the trouble.
