Motherboard problems i think

I had to to a piece of work for school finiding out the: Model number, manuffacturer name and other stuff for all the devices in my computer such as "CD-Roms", "Motherboard", "CPU" etc.
Well i took all the wires out the back of the computer to turn all the power off took off the side of the computer and started taking at pieces of the computer starting with CD-ROMS,Floppy drive and harddrive. Got all the information i needed about them and put them on the side, next i unscrewed the screws from the motherboard to the case and took out the motherboard. i then took off the two sticks of 512MB Ram,Fan,Heatsink,CPU. GOt all the information for tthat then i got out the Radeon 9800 pro. So then i had finished got all the information i needed inserted all the devices back where they needed to go, i double chekced everything and it was fine, i put all the wires into the back "power, mouse, keyboard" etc when i turned it on the bootup screen come on and before it gets to the windowsxp loading part the screen goes black and it makes this like siren kind of noise if anyone got any information that could help it would be nice.
Thanx
Liam.

The 'siren kind of noise' is the BIOS telling you that something is wrong with your basic system setup.

You need to check your Motherboard Manual to find out what that actual sound denotes.

If you havent got a manual post back your Motherboard Make & Model and we will be able to help.

PS

In future instead of ripping your system to pieces use software such as Belarc Advisor to get a list of your system components.

this morning i turned on the computer and the monitor status was "no signal". i thought restarting it by pressing the button would fix the problem but it didn't, i later found out that the plug was losen up and when my computer tries to go in windows, it says the computer was restarted unexpectedly and gave me a couple of choices to choose from.

there were safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good cofiguration (your most recent settings that worked), start windows normally. When i choose one of the options, it freezes. when i try safe mode, a list of files pop out and it stops at windows\system32\drivers\mup.sys .when i choose last known good configuration or start windows normally, it just freezes.

i had this problem a couple of times already and i gave it to this store for repair. they said there was something wrong with the motherboard and the second time they said some system crashed. i don't really believe them but they fixed the problem everytime.

here is all i know about my computer

window xp professional
mainboard: ecs k7s5apro ddr +sdram aud+lab usb2
cpu: amd xp 2400pr box
memory: 512mb pc-2700ddr-ram 333mhz major
video card: asus gf4 9180magic 64m mx4408x 2ccg0v6802

my parents wont bring this to repair because they dont want me to play video games over the summer holidays! and also wants me to fix this myself because it costs 20 dollars each time to fix. Please help me! its 2 days away from summer holidays for me and i was waiting for this day for my whole life! to wake up and be able to play on the computer without worrying about school! please help me fix this so i can get back in to my dream
