Harddisk problem

I have configured a server with Windows 2000 Advance Server on our network. In this machine i have installed 02 hard disks "MAXTOR" which is 40 GB & 60 GB.

I have installed the operating system on the 40 GB hard disk and keeping all my files in the 60 GB hard disk. The problem is when I try to copy anyfile which could be larger than 1 - 2 GB from the 60 GB hard disk to anyother place on the network, it keeps coping files for some time and then the hard disk get disconnected (even cannot be seen throght my compter) and I have to restart the computer again to get it back.

Can anyone help to solve this problem.

Are you using any kind of disk management software ? have you assigned page file for each drive separately ? Are you using an array by any chance ? are you sure you have a healthy drive in have ???
