Radeon 9600XT problem

Hi guys,

I would like an advice on a following issue.
I am currently running Asus Radeon 9600XT 128MB in my machine and I have a problem.
While running a game Final Fantasy XI for a while the game suddenly quit by itself and returns to windows.
I think this is temperature problem as when the card monitor (Asus smart doctor) shows temperature at 50 degrees or above the game quits. This irritates when I was playing a game which was not saved The card is not overclocked.
If you have any advice I would be appreciated.

Videocards get alot hotter then their CPU counterparts 50 Centigrades is actually quite cool for a GPU.

As an example my Nvidia FX5900XT is 50 Centigrades on idle! and proberply goes to 65 when gaming.

I would say that the yellow borderline goes somewhere around 80 degrees...
Check to se how hot your GPU is at idle, and how hot it is when your game throws you back to the windows desktop. Try to leave Asus smart doctor open so that when you get thrown back out into the desktop you can tell the temperature right away.

Other than that what driver version do you use? What motherboard, and how hot is the CPU?
