Geforce 5200 fx

I have an nvidia Geforce 5200 fx 128Mb card on a P4 2.4 Ghz, 256Mb ram PC and I've had a couple of problems with games freezing, notabaly Vice City and Battlefield 1942, the games will run fine for a couple of minutes then just freeze the computer completely. I run Rise of Nations which is also 3D but that runs fine, so I want to know how I can get it so I can play my games.

freezing is due to processor or the video card getting over heated.
leaving ur computer cabinet open might help .

i usually leave my cabinet open and keep a table fan next to my cabinet while i am playing games.

i had the same ploblem with half-life 2 for a day or so, then i got an industrial sized fan and it cleared the problem right up ^^ ^^
