Unhappy photosmart 1115

I recently purchased the photosmart 1115 printer from my friend but she could not find the disk. I went to the HP web site and downloaded the software and drivers. I have XP . When I print, all my pictures are printing pink. Could anyone please explain to me on how to fix this problem? Thank you for your help.

You possibly need a new colour cartridge, does the printer software have a contents indicator?

Alternatively use Windows paint and draw a blue square, a red square, a yellow square, a green square, a pink square and a black square.

Leave the picture on screen and then print the picture to compare the results.

My guess is the Cyan and Yellow cans on the colour cartridge are empty.

Thank you for your help. I tried doing what you said but the colors are all printing pink, even the black. I am becoming very frustrated with this. I even switched the color cartridges with my other printer and it prints different colors on that one. If anyone has experienced this with thier photosmart printer please let me know what to do.
Thank you

How do you mean ...

You put the colour cartridge from the problem printer into another printer and it works OK?

or

You took the colour cartridge from another printer, put it into the problem printer and it works OK?

I have another hp printer that uses the same cartridge. I took the colored cartridge out of the problem printer and put it in the other printer and printed a picture and all the colors were fine. I have a feeling something is wrong with the download from the HP website but I don't know for sure.
