Hey mushtaq139,

Is that " S3 graphics proSavageDDR " a AGP card or is it also a PCI card like the ATI's 3D RAGE PRO PCI you mentioned ???

I would tend to stick with the AGP for gaming performance.

hi parky50

thanks for your reply

the fact is that i don't really have a graphics card what i have is

is a graphics chip(S3 graphics) built into my mobo .

the other one i.e. ATI's is a PCI card.

i have tried both but none seem to work good.

would upgrading driver help?

Ah, I see....

Yeah you can try to upgrade the driver to see of that helps with the performance (doubtfull though).
Does your motherboard have an AGP slot?
If so I would get a atleast a 64mg AGP card and your performance issues will be gone.
It's pretty hard to get a on-board video or PCI video card to perform correctly with the newer games out there.

Good Luck !!!

ahh on board graphics, i totally aggree with what mushtaq139 said, definalty get ur self an agp card. There are differnt ratings such as 2x, 4x and 8x, so make sure you have the correct slot in ur mobo, for example an 8x card wont go into a 4x slot, but a 4x card will go into a 8x slot. Hope this helps
