Do I need a separate graphics card?

Hi,

I am planning to buy a PC and one of my main purpose is to watch DVD movies on it. I am not much into games. Do you think that I will need to buy a separate graphics card to watch movies? Even if I do buy a separate graphics card I am planning to buy a 64 MB card.

Will an onboard 64 MB graphics suffice? And does a separte graphics card make a significant difference for DVD movie watching?

Aslong as your processor speed is over 350 Mhz then you can use a software decoder. Therefore a 64Mb onboard will definately be suffice.

If you have less than a 350Mhz processor then you need to get a hardware decoder.

To get a software decoder you need to install a DVD program like
Power DVD

or

WinDVD

I think they are just trial versions.
