checkdisk on Startup

My comp will run chkdsk on startup almost everytime I start my system. It is very very frustrating. I will let the chkdsk run but then after a day or two when I startup it will do it again. I have no idea what the problem is. Also I am getting this error;

corruption file in d:\system volume information\_restore{9BAB1OA5-6336-44A7-AEF6-68C295D7BA5D}\RP8

when I go to defrag one of my drives and I have no idea why.

Can anyone please solve this mystery for me

Turn off system restore on drive d: make sure "show protected system files" is enabled in folder options. Try to delete the "system volume information" folder.
Apparently restore point 8 is corrupted.
