Angry Please Help

Alright, I had an AMD XP 1900 + with 512MB of RAM, windows xp pro, all the works. I moved over to a new system and the only thing I took from that system I had was my mouse and the power supply because I got a new case, and the ethernet card, and the Radeon 8500. Now Im wanting to get that computer back up for my little brother, and I ordered a new ethernet card(not same kind) and another Radeon 8500 for my little brother. I put the power supply back in there too. I reset the CMOS jumper, went in and changed everything, and now wheN I boot up, it will get to the windows XP Pro splash screen and then just restart. Could someone please tell me what is going on and how I can fix this problem because it is REALLY getting annoying. Thank you

lets face it u removed hardware/reset CMOS - put everything back in and u expected it to work!!! - i bet if u reinstall XP itll be fine(But have u tried moving the LAN card into another slot) I wouldn't of touched the CMOS refresh M8 without trying it first (it cant hurt) - flushing the CMOS is a last resort.

either that or one of the components doesn't work!
try moving your LAN card..

Angry PLEASE HELP

I have tried removing the LAN card, moving it to a different slot, setting different cmos settings, EVERYTHING. Reinstalling would be a last resort, but what could cause this problem? The only thing that is different is that it dont have cd drive or burner, different keyboard which is still basic keyboard, different monitor, and different nic. Why would I not have this problem with 98? Why is it XP that has to have all these problems?

i must admit im a stark win2k fan m8 - ive only used XP under sufference (compatibility issues) - i think your gonna hav to bite the bullet and re-install - coz some some versions require authorization upon hardware changes...(I Think) - surely u can xfer data to other pc first (could even copy the partition - useful)

You are deffently going to have to reinstall XP.
But a Repair Install will work. XP has to be reinstalled because it cannot recognize the computer anymore.

Enter your BIOS and set the first boot device to CD-Rom, put XP CD in Rom; reboot, boot from XP CD. When it stops booting from XP CD then...

Enter to install
F8 agree to EULA
R for Repair install

If you are not given choice to R for Repair Install, you are down to a Clean install.

You can Clean install without formatting, but you will have to reinstall all your app's.

but what I dont understand is WHY wont it work? All the same parts are in it, just a different nic card. Ya its using a new keyboard and monitor too but those wont affect it booting to windows
